As in real life, players in goalunited can be shown yellow or red cards. As usual the second booking in one match leads to a yellow/red card and has the same consequences as a red card: the player has to go under the virtual shower. If this happens in a league match he will be blocked for the next league match. When a player gets booked three times within one season he will also be blocked (shown as a red card in the player details pane).

• higher engagement value increase the probability of being shown a card
• fussy referees show cards more often than liberal ones
• the personality influences the chance of committing a foul or getting booked

• a player will be blocked for the next league match if he gets booked three times within one season
• if a player is shown a red card in a league match he will be missing in the next league match
• a yellow/red card is treated the same way as a red card
• blocked players may be lined up in friendly and cup matches as well as in all United matches

• the yellow and red cards from the regular season matches will be transferred into the play off matches
• at the beginning of a new season all yellow and red cards will be deleted
• cards shown in friendly or cup matches as well as those shown in United matches do not have any consequences on further matches

If a player gets booked his Playing Strength will decrease for the rest of the match because he will act more cautiously.

Of course the strength ratio between the two opposing teams will shift after a sending-off.
